Project Description

The long table is a performing installation that experiments with the structure of a public debate using a dinner-table format. It encourages informal conversation about serious subjects and experiments with formats for spectators’ participation. In Panorama, Lois Weaver invites the audience to discuss the issues of the day.

Lois Weaver is a performer, writer, director and activist. Her researches include live art, performance, feminism, human rights and the relationship between performance and spectators’ participation. She is a professor of contemporary performance at Radford University, in the United States. She is ahead of the Public Address System, a portal that opens space for public debates about gender, human rights and sexuality issues and other topics related to activism.
