“Era uma vez uma linda princesa chamada Odette… Pronto, é isso.” É assim, com bom humor e um certo escracho que o Dimenti apresenta Chuá, sua versão revisitada e contemporânea do balé O lago dos cisnes. Estreando o Panoraminha – versão infantil do festival – a obra faz uma releitura do balé de repertório sem se distanciar do visual inspirado em cartoons que caracteriza a pesquisa cênica do Dimenti. No cenário, um móbile, instrumentos e uma piscina de bolas. Por trás da brincadeira, questões como o consumo na infância, diversidade, gênero e educação.
“Once upon a time, there was a beautiful princess named Odette… Ok, that’s it.” With good-humor and a little irony Dimenti presents Chuá, their contemporary and revisited version of the classic ballet Swan Lake. Opening Little Panorama – the children’s version of the festival – the piece is a reimagining of the ballet without distancing itself from the cartoon inspired visuals that are characteristic of Dimenti’s work. In the set there is a mobile, instruments and a swimming pool filled with plastic balls. Beyond the fun and games, serious issues are raised such as consumerism in childhood, diversity, gender and education.
Criado em 1998 na Bahia, o Dimenti atua em diferentes frentes de produção cultural. Formado por artistas de áreas distintas, sua pesquisa cênica e de movimentos envolve dança, teatro, cartoons e música music. A atuação do Dimenti também ultrapassa os limites do palco, incluindo a realização de oficinas, debates, intercâmbios, publicações e projetos audiovisuais.
Created in 1998 in Bahia, Dimenti works in different fronts of cultural production. Formed by artists from different areas, its scene and movement research involve dance, theater, cartoons and music. The work of the group goes beyond the limits of the stage, including the production of workshops, debates, exchanges, publications and audiovisual projects.
